Rode home, trying to decide whether I could be bothered to cook, or should get takeaway. Went past the Swansea Markets needing some brocolli and chilli, but they were closed.

Muttering I made a deal with myself - I'd detour to the Cannington Markets, but if they were closed I'd end up with KFC.

Luckily they were open, just. Managed to dash in, grab the brocolli and a green chilli before they closed.

So dinner was a beef stir fry/simmer.

Ingredients for those interested (note complete lack of measurements - it was all approximated):

Beef cut up into slices
Brocolli
Garlic
Chilli
Snow peas
Soy Sauce
Oyster Sauce (we were all out, so through in Teriyaki Marinade instead)
Capsicum
2 tins of Trident "stir-fry veges" - carrot, watercress, bamboo shoots, baby corn, etc.
Egg Noodles

Heat wok with oil, throw in chopped up garlic, capsicum and chilli.

Leave to fry for a bit, stirring often, then throw in brocolli and beef. Pour some soy sauce and teriyaki
marinade (normally I'd use oyster sauce, but we're out) over the top.

Leave to fry/simmer for a bit, stirring often, then throw in snow peas and tins of stirfry veges.

Cook for a while whilst stirring regularly.

Prepare Egg Noodles whilst stir fry is simmering.

Add egg noodles to stir fry/simmer, and mix all in.

Eat.

Not too bad, but I think it needs Oyster Sauce instead of Teriyaki - or more Teriyaki.

Hey [livejournal.com profile] amarillion, when you get home there's stir fry in the wok on the stove.

Cannington markets had oyster sauce, but usually in smallish bottles and mildly expensive.

I didn't realise until I was home and half way through cooking that we didn't have any oyster sauce.

Or, if that anonymous comment below belongs to whom I think it does, we didn't have any oyster sauce in the place I'm used to looking for it :P

She's always hiding things from me, and putting them in odd places.
