I received a chain letter yesterday.

Y'know the one - send $10 to the top person on the list, add your name to the list and distribute to 200 people, etc.

I'm used to seing these on a semi regular basis via email or usenet.

But this one came by snail mail!

So if anyone knows an A. Cowan in Success, WA, tell em they're an idiot!

I'm still trying to work out whether I'll bother doing anything with it (eg write letters to the people on the list saying they're idiots and the ATO's been informed that they'll owe money, etc).

Back to work now, much frustration to ensue.

*laugh* I had one of the sys admins at crystal internet try an email pyramid scheme once.

They didn't get far as the idiot used the 'allusers' feature to send it out to every single one of their customers.

Dunno if it was a good thing to report them or not.. but they were sold off to another group not long after :)

My last chain letter came from someone in Woodvale, 6026. Some of your lot seem a little behind the times! Don't they know the spammers have taken over that field?!

If you want to report it, DOCEP will theoretically follow up on them. They even have a reply paid address for sending such crap:

I got one of those about a year ago, I think I still have it.
It had a 10c coin taped to it "to show it's for real"

I was so shocked to get a snail mail one I kept it.
