Toaster crash?
Nov. 1st, 2004 05:42 pmYes, toasters can crash.
Apparently they're also used in Cisco routers, probably for toasting PXF chips, as evidenced by the following error:
Nov 1 15:39:30.608 AWST: %C10KEVENTMGR-1-MAJOR_FAULT: PXF DMA Toaster Fault, Restarting PXF
Maybe we shouldn't have smeared honey over the PXF chip after it was toasted. Better not tell Cisco about that when we lodge the case. Speaking of which, do you know how difficult it is to keep a straight face whilst saying:
"Hi, I need to lodge a Level 2 TAC case regarding a 10K Toaster crash."
Anyway, weekend was awesome, big thanks to calli for organising, and to everyone who came and made it such a great time. Amar summed it up much better in her entry, so I won't repeat it myself.
Kudos to those brave enough to sign up to NaNoWriMo too.
Today's funny - a cartoon about school violence, computer games, and gamers:
