Doctor Who Finale - The Big Bang
I'm confused with by a certain paradox.
So how did the Doctor escape from the Pandorica?
The Doctor gave Rory the Sonic Screwdriver to open the Pandorica and free the Doctor, who then gave Rory the Sonic Screwdriver to open the Pandorica and free the Doctor, who then... etc
But how did the Doctor give the Screwdriver to Rory whilst at the same time, the Doctor & Screwdriver were inside the Pandorica (Rory hadn't opened it yet)?
There doesn't seem to be any linear way it could work?
*is confused*
Did I miss an explanation, or is it just handwavium?

Date: 2010-06-30 02:46 am (UTC)In the Finale, the Doctor was closed off from the standard time loop by being locked in the Pandorica - future Doctor would still be stuck in the Pandorica and unable to influence events.
In Blink, he was still part of time, not locked away, and thus able to create the stable time loop.
prk.

For once it didn't feel as gimicky as other episodes.
