Doctor Who Finale - The Big Bang

I'm confused with by a certain paradox.

So how did the Doctor escape from the Pandorica?

The Doctor gave Rory the Sonic Screwdriver to open the Pandorica and free the Doctor, who then gave Rory the Sonic Screwdriver to open the Pandorica and free the Doctor, who then... etc

But how did the Doctor give the Screwdriver to Rory whilst at the same time, the Doctor & Screwdriver were inside the Pandorica (Rory hadn't opened it yet)?

There doesn't seem to be any linear way it could work?

*is confused*

Did I miss an explanation, or is it just handwavium?

Isn't it just a stable time loop? Like "Blink": the doctor has always escaped so he has always ben able to help himself escape. Unless I'm missing something?

Eye of the time storm and all that - the Pandorica doesnt lock him out of time, its just a box he can't escape from from inside. Exactly the same as Blink.

He had to be able to get out so that River who appears to be in a backward time stream actually gets to marry the Doctor in the Doctor's future.

For once it didn't feel as gimicky as other episodes.
