The most significant change online networks have made to computer and video games is the introduction of a social aspect: after several decades of playing against computers, gamers around the world now play against each other.
What are the advantages of social gaming (MMORPGs, first-person shooters, online board games), and how has it changed the form of computer and videogames in recent years?
